Once you have an appointment…

What communication should I expect between now and the appointment?

  • Once you’ve booked your date with your deposit, you’re good to go! Your initial acceptance email will contain all the relevant information regarding location, current pricing, and recommendations for how to prepare for your reference. You’ll receive a reminder email the day before the appointment, and feel free to reach out if you have questions that are not answered in your initial email or the FAQs. Otherwise, I’ll see you at your appointment!

When should I arrive for my appointment?

  • As close to your scheduled time as possible, but please don't arrive early! If you’re running more than ten minutes late, please email and let me know.

  • If you are more than 30 minutes late and I haven’t heard from you, the appointment will be considered a no-show, the deposit forfeited, and my commitment to the project terminated.

Can I bring a friend?

  • A friend is welcome in the studio, but please leave the posse at home. For everyone’s safety, children are not permitted in the studio.

How long should I plan to be there?

  • Most of my sessions run between 3-6 hours. However, I STRONGLY recommend coming in with a flexible schedule and not planning anything immediately after your piece. We don’t want to rush your tattoo, and the first 48 hours are the most important for making sure your piece heals well. Plan to take it easy for the rest of the day after your piece, and be ready to take a break from intense (sweaty) physical activity while it heals.

What should I bring/wear?

  • On the day of your appointment, wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. We’ll need to expose the area to be tattooed + 1” in all directions. Bring water and snacks, plus anything that might make you more comfortable during your session: a pillow, blanket, book, tablet, etc. The studio is equipped with internet and outlets for your devices.

What can I do to prepare?

  • Make sure you stay hydrated and out of the sun as much as possible in the time leading up to your appointment, and avoid heavy drinking the day before. On the day of your tattoo, eat a filling breakfast and bring snacks and water. We will not proceed with the tattoo you if you have not eaten and hydrated. I highly encourage clients to prepare with whatever self-care feels right to put you in the best headspace possible: meditation, working out, spending time outside, whatever brings you joy and calm!
